网易说有道神经翻译媲美专业八级 我们试了试

语言不通很尴尬，如果用的翻译软件翻译的不对那就更尴尬了。

最近网易有道宣布自家自主研发的神经网络翻译(Neural Machine Translation,以下简称NMT)技术正式上线，由网易有道与网易杭州研究院历时两年合力研发，将服务于有道词典、有道翻译官、有道翻译网页版、有道e读等产品。

简单来说就是通过人工智能技术让翻译变得更智能，翻译工具可以对句子进行拆分并理解句子的意思，让翻译出来的句子更像人话。

网易说从翻译界通用的BLEU值评价指标来看，此次在有道上线的NMT在新闻文章、英语学习及口语等场景下的英文翻译，做得比同类国际产品更加出色。

作为一个英语专业毕业的媒体人，我来对全新的有道翻译做了次横向对比。

先来个标准的专八翻译考题：别跟他较劲了。他一根筋，你还不知道？

有道的答案是：Don"t compare yourself with him. You don"t know?

百度的答案是：Don"t fight him. Don"t you know that he is a man?

Google的答案是：Do not compete with him. He is a bar, you do not know?

微软的答案是：Don"t compete with him. He"s a tendon, you don"t know?

人类的答案是：Stop reasoning with him. Don’t you know he is one track-minded.

可以看到微软和Google的答案都偏向于按照原有语序进行翻译，百度看上去像是进行了网络搜索给出了相近的答案。有道没有按照原有语序进行翻译，给出的答案虽算不上准确但也还算沾边。

试题2是：真没想到小高那么没骨气，竟然嫁给了坑害过她父亲的人。

这句话的难点在于相对于第一个句子，这句话的断句难度更高，并且“小高”这个人名，也不容易被机器察觉。

有道的答案是：I was surprised to learn that xiaogao had married the man who had murdered her father.

百度的答案是：I did not expect a small high so spineless, was married to her father who had hurt.

Google的答案是：I did not expect a small high so no backbone, even married to the people who harm her father.

微软的答案是：I did not think of a small high so no backbone, unexpectedly married to the person who had been to her father.

人类的答案是：I’m surprised to learn that XiaoGao had married the man who had once done her father in. She really has no guts.

百度和微软的答案几乎完全错误的，Google不出意料的把“小高”做了直译，有道的翻译和上一道题的表现一致，翻译虽然不是完全准确，但几乎表达了句子的意思。另外在句子分割方面，有道可能理解了“小高”这是个人名。

为了进一步测试对于句子的分割理解能力，我决定拿出这句话：今日我做作业王叔叔来家玩做完作业后叔叔夸我做得好叔叔亲了我妈妈也亲了我。

这句完全没有断句的话，之前我给国内某厂商的手机产品测试过断句，给出的回答是：今日/我/做作业/王叔叔/来/家/玩/做完/作业/后/叔叔/夸/我/做得好/叔叔/亲了/我妈妈/也/亲了我。

这样的回答…你爸爸可能不太高兴。虽然这样的句子仅供娱乐，但我们还是让4种翻译软件都试了试。

有道的答案是：Today I was doing homework uncle wang came home to do my homework and my uncle praised my good uncle and my mother kissed me.

百度的答案是：Today, I do my homework, Uncle Wang came to his house. After he finished his homework, he praised me for doing well.

Google的答案是：Today I do homework Wang Shushu home to play after the homework uncle boast my good uncle pro my mother also kiss me.

微软的答案是：Today, I do homework Uncle Wang to home to play finish homework after Uncle Kua I do good uncle kissed my mother also kissed me.

感觉有道确实还准确些，不过以上内容纯属调侃，不应作为参考标准。

最后来翻译点正经的：虎嗅，有视角的商业资讯交流平台。

有道的答案：Tiger sniff, a business information platform that has a perspective.

百度的答案：Tiger sniffing, with a view of business information exchange platform.

Google的答案：Tiger sniff, a business platform for business information exchange.

微软的答案：Tiger smell, a visual angle of business information exchange platform.

人类的答案：Huxiu.com, a perfect media platform.
